A History of tradition in ongoing evolution

This is the mark of Oscar Iskin, a Brazilian company founded in 1942 which is Latin-American reference in the distribution of medical and hospital supplies.

Always following a course of conduct within the same segment, Oscar Iskin has created solid relationships with customers and producers, achieving the reliability of national and international partners, which has ensured the representation of two important brands in the world market for decades: Stryker (since 1950) and Depuy Johnson & Johnson (since 1974).

With a comprehensive portfolio covering unique products, Oscar Iskin is also expert in installing surgical centers and intensive treatment unities. This is the reason why one of its goals is to be frequently seeking products with quality and state-of-the art medical technology, ensuring their intermediate (the medical community) and final (patients) customers are safe.

The company also features a cross-functional staff formed by engineers, technicians, and technologists to provide the surgeons with total support, whether through preventive servicing, calibration and exchanging of parts, or demonstrating procedures and how to use instruments.

The sales staff is another plus of Oscar Iskin, considered one of the largest retailers of the orthopedic range in Brazil and in other Latin American countries, taking into account the medical lines of manufacturers it represents.

Background

The company, former Barros Iskin, was created in 1942. In 1962, the founder partners decided to split up and Oscar Iskin, one of the partners, remained in charge of business.

The end of the 1960s was remarkable for the company’s history, since the new generation took control of management, keeping the familiar characteristic of the organization until the current days.

In August, 1985, Oscar Iskin definitely left the management.

The company has two unities: one in Rio de Janeiro and another in Sao Paulo, both featuring their own offices and inventory, and working as distribution centers for all the country.
